An important Greek writer born in Gytheio in the Peloponnese. She is primarily known as a children’s writer and poet, but she has written works for adults too. She published many volumes of fairy tales with Astir and Ankyra publishing houses. Her translations include Harriet Beecher-Stowe, Alexandre Dumas, and Charlotte Bronte. She died in 1987, after receiving multiple honours, such as awards from Children’s Book Circle (Κύκλο Παιδικού Βιβλίου) and Women’s Literary Society (Γυναικεία Λογοτεχνική Συντροφιά).
