Jane Eyre translation: 1887
An experienced translator of Scandinavian literature, including Hamsun’s Sult (1890). She seems to have translated mainly from Norwegian, and Jane Eyre seems to be her only translation from English. Her translation from Norwegian to German of Alexander L. Kielland’s Siesta was translated into English by Charles Flint McClumpha and published in Modern Ghosts (1890).
